#BigDNT March: EPLAY by Players Revolution

Statistically, 1 in 4 Americans play in an adult sports league, but are finding it harder and harder to continue to participate. It can be difficult to not only locate an adult team in an area, but also to afford because of high club prices. EPLAY by Players Revolutions looks to not only solve the problem, but also revolutionize the industry as a whole. EPLAY, created by Ryan Girardo, Andrew Hemmings, Charles Gaine, and Chris Marisic, is designed to connect players with affordable leagues, facilities, officials, and more.

The smartphone application, EPLAY, has several different functions depending on the users:

  • Officials: ability to book jobs
  • Facilities: show availability and space
  • Players: Track personal and team statics
  • League or tournament managers: use information from games to improve programs

EPLAY also provides an easier possibility for new entrepreneurs to create sports leagues.

Players Revolution is currently partnered with UT Dallas, UNT, and Texas Legends to help test their platform. They have also created a Kickstarter to help further fund EPLAY. On May 6th, 2017, Players Revolution plans to open EPLAY to the public through a huge event called Revolution Day Dallas (#RevDayDFW). The event will have a city-wide tournament for recreational, intermediate and competitive leagues to participate.
